Height bands in the range

The tallest lines are the 260cm XXL coco palm and a 260cm XXL cherry blossom, followed by the 250cm XXL olive, a 240cm banana tree and a group of 210cm palms, money tree and variegated monstera. The 13 statement lines are also grouped as extra large trees.

Matching height to the space

• Measure the ceiling, then allow for the height a decorative planter adds and leave clear space above the canopy so the tree does not look squeezed.
• Check the width column as well. Large palms and banana trees spread well beyond 100cm, while fiddle leaf figs such as the 180cm fiddle leaf fig, bamboo and dracaena stay narrower for corridors and tight corners.
• In walkways, keep lower branches and fronds clear of door swings and circulation routes.

Stability in public spaces

Most large trees come in a plastic weighted pot; the XXL olives and cherry blossom come with a decorative planter. For busy public areas, set tall trees in a heavy planter with a wide base, add ballast, and position them where they cannot be knocked into walkways. Planter options are in large planters.

Fire-retardant and outdoor options

Nine fire-retardant trees run from 165cm to 210cm, including areca and phoenix palms, bamboo and a 210cm cherry blossom; see fire-retardant trees and the fire-retardant hub for test information. Keep every tree clear of heaters, candles and naked flames. 37 large trees are UV-stabilised for bright or outdoor positions; filter by the UV flag.
