What's in the range
- Small potted plants: ready to place, usually in a small weighted pot of around 9cm to 12cm, such as the 38cm potted fiddle fig and the 30cm potted royal fern.
- Plants in decorative pots: finished pieces for retail shelves and hotel rooms, for example the 30cm mini pothos in a white pot or the 35cm ficus in a teal ceramic planter. More are in the mini desktop plants collection.
- Trailing plants: small pothos, caladium and trailing monstera to spill over shelf edges; see hanging plants for longer trails.
- Short stems: foliage and grass stems for bud vases and small arrangements.
Singles or cases?
Every potted plant, fern, stem and foliage line here is sold individually, so work out quantities line by line for a retail range or a multi-room fit-out. The only order minimum is £150 ex VAT.
What to check
Small plants are seen close up, so detail matters more than at floor level. Compare leaf detail and pot finish in the photos, and check the width figure: a trailing pothos can spread wider than its height. For retail, a mix of colours and pot finishes helps a shelf read as a curated display; filter by colour to find accents in purple, pink, red and blue. Four short stems in this range carry our fire-retardant flag; see fire-retardant artificial plants for details, and keep all plants clear of heat sources and naked flames.

Frequently asked questions
Which small plants are sold singly?
Every line is sold singly, including small potted plants such as pothos, fiddle figs, ficus and plants in decorative pots, as well as small potted ferns, foliage stems and grass stems. Foliage stems earn 20% off when you take 6 or more mixed multibuy items. The only minimum is £150 ex VAT across the whole order.
Are these plants suitable for gift and homeware retail?
Yes. Small potted plants and plants in decorative pots are easy to merchandise on shelves and tables, need no care from the customer beyond dusting, and contain no soil or pollen. Registered trade customers can use the resource library for product photography and descriptions and a stock and price feed, which helps if you also sell online.
Can small artificial plants go on windowsills?
Windowsills are fine for short periods, but strong direct sun fades any artificial plant over time, and none of the small potted plants in this range is flagged UV-stabilised. For sunny positions, move plants back from the glass or rotate them occasionally. For genuinely bright or outdoor spots, use lines from our UV-stabilised range, which contain UV inhibitors that slow colour fade.
Where are the bonsai trees and mini succulents?
Bonsai trees are listed in our trees range, from 45cm to 60cm, so they sit in the bonsai trees collection rather than this under-40cm finder. Cacti and taller succulents such as sansevieria are on the cacti and succulents page, while small cacti and succulent pieces are in the mini desktop plants collection.
