Choosing a size
Start from the height of the plant on its product page, then add room for the pot and some packing at each end: allow at least 5cm over the plant's height. Check width too. The 16cm boxes suit pots of up to about 13 to 14cm across; the 22.5cm and 30cm boxes take larger pots and fuller canopies. Branches can be folded gently inwards for transit, but a canopy squashed into a narrow box arrives creased. If a plant sits between two sizes, choose the larger box and pack the gap.
Packing tips
- Wrap the pot in a bag or paper so weighting material cannot escape, and wedge it at one end so it cannot slide.
- Tie or wrap the canopy loosely to protect leaves without crushing them.
- Fill voids with paper or air pillows; movement causes most damage.
- Tell your customer to open out leaves and branches by hand on arrival.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order packaging boxes on their own?
Orders containing packaging boxes only ship with orders over £500 ex VAT, because the boxes are bulky and travel palletised and flat-packed. Most buyers add boxes to a larger plant order. The normal £150 ex VAT order minimum still applies, and delivery is free on UK mainland orders of £300 ex VAT or more.
Which box fits a 150cm artificial tree?
The 165 x 22.5 x 22.5cm box suits slim trees up to about 160cm tall. Allow at least 5cm above the plant's listed height for packing, and check that the pot and canopy will fit the 22.5cm width without crushing. Bushier trees may need their branches folded gently inwards for transit.
Are the box sizes internal or external dimensions?
Treat the listed sizes as the working space for planning, and leave some room rather than packing to the exact centimetre. Allow at least 5cm over the plant's height and a little either side of the pot. If a plant falls between two sizes, choose the larger box and fill the gap with paper or air pillows.
How do I stop plants being damaged in the post?
Stop the pot moving and protect the canopy. Wrap the pot so no weighting material escapes, wedge it at one end of the box, wrap the foliage loosely, and fill every void so nothing can slide. Ask your customers to open out branches and leaves by hand after unpacking.
